History and achievements
Since our founding in 2013 by Sheikh Mohammad Idrissi, Al-Andalusia has grown from a small academy to a pioneering institution with over 600 students in 22 countries.
We have signed an agreement with the International Islamic University Malaysia for the recognition of our academic structure.
We are the first and leading institution offering higher education in Spanish and Arabic, training teachers of Islamic religion, imams, murshidat (female spiritual guides) and ulema, empowering communities around the world to lead by example and to preserve and spread the rich legacy of Islam and Al-Andalus, fostering a diverse and multicultural learning environment.
Academic programmes
We provide diplomas, bachelor's and master's degrees in Islamic Sciences, combining traditional knowledge with modern academia. Our students become imams, murshidat (female spiritual guides), educators and community leaders, bringing authentic Islamic teachings to Spanish-speaking societies around the world.
Each programme is designed to foster understanding, respect and revival of a heritage that unites us all.
- Diploma in Essential Islamic Studies: A fundamental programme that introduces basic Islamic principles and knowledge.
- Higher Certificate of Training in Islamic Education: Preparing educators to teach Islamic religion and values effectively.
- Bachelor of Islamic Science and Theology: A comprehensive degree that qualifies students as imams and murshidat.
- Master in Islamic Studies and Theology: Advanced studies for those aspiring to become ulema, the scholars and thought leaders of the Muslim community.
